Menopause is a significant life transition that can impact women in the workplace in ways that are often overlooked. Menopause can affect confidence, focus, performance, and career progression—but with the right awareness and practical strategies, leaders and managers can respond proactively and provide effective support.

 

This virtual classroom session uses realistic workplace scenarios to help leaders and managers see how menopause might show up in day-to-day work. Leaders and managers will explore situations affecting energy, focus, communication, confidence, and team dynamics, and discuss how to respond with empathy, clarity, and diplomacy.

 

The session also briefly highlights upcoming guidance and workplace considerations, helping leaders stay ahead of the curve and create a supportive environment.

  1. Recognising and responding to workplace impacts of menopause – identifying common physical, emotional, and cognitive changes, and understanding potential effects on confidence, performance, and career progression.
  2. Navigating conversations and supporting effectively – practising empathetic, respectful approaches using realistic scenarios, and exploring practical adjustments to support team members.
  3. Staying aware of emerging guidance – understanding that policy and workplace considerations are evolving and recognising the value of staying informed as part of good leadership practice.
