A skilled manager or administrator, competent in their own role, may be asked to occasionally project manage a scheme without having the experience, professional skills or qualification to do so. This introduction will build on their organizational skills, and practical approach to working, and provide them with the skills and tools they need to successfully manage projects. A great introduction to projects, and first step, if considering obtaining a formal qualification such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
In this course participants will learn the phases of project management and how
to break down milestones into tasks and organise those tasks into a timeline that is achievable. Techniques and skills for planning will be reviewed to underscore the benefits of not just launching into activity and follow where it leads. Requirements to monitor and control and stay on track will be detailed and practised.
The key tools to manage the human aspects of any project are also included in this intensive and interactive course, along with team building, motivation, leadership and time management.
Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and practical tools to enable them to manage and deliver successful projects within their organisation reducing risk of scope creep, cost creep and help achieve the desired outcomes. Organisations will have a participant who is willing and comfortable to take on the lead on projects as and when required
