This 4.5-day PRINCE2® training course delivered by an Accredited Training Organisation will provide delegates with a fundamental understanding of the PRINCE2® Project Management method.

The course will also ensure that delegates are able to apply the method to manage their projects to an internationally recognised method. Delegates will also have the opportunity to pass the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner examinations during the course.

Previous experience of PRINCE2® is not essential, but a basic awareness of project work in your own environment or a general understanding of project management would be advantageous.

Who should attend?

The PRINCE2® Practitioner course is aimed at people who are working in a project environment and wish to gain formal training in the PRINCE2® method.

What will delegates get out of the course?

The PRINCE2®  Practitioner includes all the content on the Foundation course but is also aimed at measuring whether a delegate is able to apply PRINCE2®  principles to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2®.  To this end, they need to exhibit the competence required for the Foundation qualification, and show that they can apply and tune PRINCE2® to address the needs and problems of a specific project scenario, specifically, delegates must be able to:

• Produce detailed explanations of all processes, components and techniques and worked examples of all PRINCE2® products as they might be applied to address the particular circumstances of a given project scenario.
• Demonstrate that they understand the reasons behind the processes, principalsand themes of PRINCE2®, and that they understand what underpins these elements.
• Demonstrate their ability to apply PRINCE2® to different project circumstances.

What we need from delegates?

100% Commitment - The PRINCE2® Practitioner Combined course is an intensive course.  Delegates are asked to carry out about 17 hours reading prior to starting the course.  During the course, there will be homework each night.

What exams are taken during the course?

There are two exams that delegates will need to pass to become PRINCE2® Practitioners. The Foundation examination is a 1-hour multiple-choice paper that will be taken on day 3.

To proceed to the Practitioner exam, delegates must first pass the Foundation exam.

The Practitioner exam will be taken in the morning of day 5 and is a 2 and a half hour paper which consists of 9 questions with a scenario and appendices.
