Windows Server 2008 Administration

Duration 3 days

Overview
Windows 2008 Administration course is a three-day event aimed at support personnel who will be involved administering a Windows Active Directory based network within a domain environment. Focusing on the most important elements of the Active Directory Operating System for the support professional, the course is structured to provide a large amount of practical activity.

After brief reviews of the Windows Family and Active Directory delegates will start acquiring practical skills by using the management tools to create and configure user accounts, organisational units, and other network objects after this they will then set up a delegation system. Delegates will then investigate folder access control and learn how to implement practical security. Next they will learn about User Profiles and the options available for them to configure. Every administrator needs to understand printing so they will then cover how to configure and control both local and network printing. Group Policy and the control of users will be introduced next: what it is and how to implement it. The final session will cover backing up and restoration of data.
