Problem Solving & Decision Making

This course is intended for people who need to gain an understanding of the skills and techniques required to identify and resolve problems, generate effective solutions and gain the commitment of their colleagues.

Particular attention is paid to difficulties in problem solving, creative thinking and developing a range of solutions, and continually remembering to keep an open mind. This will link into communication skills and working with others, especially when implementing solutions.

The course is formal, covering methodology such as cost benefit analysis and the rational model whilst also exploring brainstorming, freewheeling and cross fertilisation.

Differentials, common denominators, probability and time factors along with feasibility will be introduced and explained through exercises and examples.
