Introduction to PC Technology

In a Nutshell
The “Introduction to PC Technology” course is a three day event aimed at entry level support personal who wish to become aquatinted with the fundamentals of PC hardware and PC networking. The course covers the following main areas:
 
Basic PC Hardware (eg Disks, Memory, Motherboards etc)
An introduction to PC operating Systems 
An introduction to Local Area Networks (with an emphasis on the common hardware eg Hubs, switches & routers)

Instructional Method
A mixture of interactive lectures and hands -on formal Labs, Planning Exercises to emphasise design objectives. Each student will be provided with a computer which they will strip and rebuild as part of the course. Delegates will install a Microsoft desktop Operating System which they will then configure.

Significant Omissions
