ITIL® Foundation V3
Duration 3 daysThis 3-day course provides delegates with an introduction to ITIL® v3 and has been designed to provide an understanding of the key concepts, terminology and values of a process-driven approach for IT.
The course is tutor-led by a certified/accredited ITIL® instructor who will use his unique training style, incorporating exercises, mock exams and discussions to engage delegates with the material.
Delegates undertaking the certification course will take the ITIL® v3 multiple choice examination on the final day.

This course will benefit anyone who requires an understanding of ITIL® v3 and how it may be used to maintain and improve quality IT management. Such individuals who will benefit can comprise of but not limited to:

Course Content
Incorporating the associated processes functions, roles and models, this course will cover the following topics:
- The principles of Service Management as a practice
- Understanding the Service Lifecycle
- The 5 primary lifecycle phases
- Strategy
- Design
- Transition
- Operation
- Continual Service Improvement
The Foundation level course requires approximately 15-hours of classroom based instruction including examination preparation.
The exam is 1-hour in duration based on 40 multiple choice-questions and is a supervised, closed book examination. The pass mark is 65% or 26/40.
The module credit value towards becoming an ITIL® v3 Expert is two points.
ITIL® courses are presented on behalf of Adapt Limited by Framelogic who are an APMG Accredited Training Organisation (ATO). APMG is responsible for examinations and course licensing control of the ATO
