Introduction
Designed to nurture people who have the potential to be successful managers. The training will focus on developing participants’ skills that can be applied immediately after the course within current non-managerial roles as well as in any future management positions.
Participants will learn about different learning styles which will help to understand why other people think and feel differently. They will gain an insight into how learning styles can affect the way in which they work and eventually what difference it can make in managing their staff. This course covers how to use various analysis tools to identify where participants’ strengths and weaknesses are and how they can use this to identify future development needs.
Effective communication skills are essential in any environment and especially to any aspiring manager. Participants will learn how to send the right messages, how to convey a positive image and what people mean from the way they say things.
This training provides participants with the tools to be able to influence and delegate tasks to colleagues to achieve workplace objectives. They will learn long-term and short-term personal planning techniques to assist them in working effectively under pressure and get results.
This course will explore the various styles of management and how these can be used in a variety of situations. By understanding how to set personal objectives, participants will be able to create their own goals to achieve success within their current roles.
The training also covers how to gather and interpret information to solve problems to get the best outcomes; and how to plan the implementation and communication of decisions.
Towards the end of the course, each delegate will complete their own Action Plan which will give them a clear strategy about how they will apply what they have learnt back in the workplace.
This highly interactive and practical course will use behavioural examples and role plays in the context of management and non-management work.
